[Air-L] Technical description of mobile phones and mobile network

Dear all, I am looking for a good (readable) description of how a mobile phone works and how the mobile network functions. It will be used as intro material for my students. I am wondering if anyone has good suggestions for literature. Thanks -- Rich L.
