Dear Colleagues, The Music and Online Cultures Research Network (www.mocren.org<http://www.mocren.org>) and the 21st Century Music Practice Research Centre (www.c21mp.org<http://www.c21mp.org>) are excited to announce a call for proposals for a collaborative research challenge on the theme of Algorithmic Intervention on Music Platforms. The research challenge format encourages the practical development of new critical, reflexive and playful methodologies and, for this iteration, invites participants to hack, retrain and interpret an algorithmic music platform in order to interrogate how it configures musical life. The deadline for initial proposals is 24 July 2026, after which participants will be paired with a collaborator with whom they will work towards a joint-authored, peer-reviewed, DOI-allocated video publication hosted on the UK’s JISC Octopus.ac<http://octopus.ac/> system. Full CfP, deadlines and all relevant info is available at: https://www.c21mp.org/front-page/get-involved/research-challenges/c21mp-mocr.... Please consider getting involved!
