Call for papers: Luhmann and media Special issue of MedieKultur. Journal of communication and media research. Guest editors: Jesper Tække and Michael Paulsen Submission deadline: February the 1st 2010 Publication date: December the 1st 2010 Niklas Luhmann has created a richly faceted and non deterministic communication sociological theory about media, which opens for analysis adequate to understanding contemporary interactions, organizations and society. In his late main work Die Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft from 1997, as well as in many other books and articles, Luhmann also works with a general and abstract concept of media, which not only logically and theoretical explains the three former types of media, but also can explain many other phenomena in the contemporary society.
