Cheers, Don Leu Dear Colleagues, We invite you to submit a research proposal to the 54th annual meeting of the National Reading Conference, the largest annual conference devoted solely to literacy research. The National Reading Conference is internationally known for the warm welcome it extends to new members of our research community and for high standards in intellectual inquiry and research. This year, the conference will take place in beautiful and historic San Antonio, Texas from December 1-4, 2004. It will feature plenaries by leading scholars who will address the critical issues in our field today.
