Just a note, lest anyone contact board members to complain, I have set to nomail the subscription of the subscriber whose account was generating a massive number of vacation messages in response to air-l posts. This does provide a good object lesson in why, unless you have significant knowledge of and control over how and when your out-of-office message is sent, the safest thing to do is to set your subscription to nomail when you've enabled a vacation message, then catch up with air-l via the list archives at http://listserv.aoir.org/pipermail/air-l-aoir.org/ To set your subscription to nomail, mail, digest, individual messages, or otherwise change your subscription options, go to http://listserv.aoir.org/listinfo.cgi/air-l-aoir.org and enter the address from which you're subscribed to the list in the field at the very bottom of the page; the one after the text "To unsubscribe from air-l, get a password reminder, or change your subscription options enter your subscription email address." That will take you to your subscription options page. Now back to your regular list banter!
