School Director Search 2004 Position Description Communication: Director and Professor. Bowling Green State University seeks a Director for the School of Communication Studies beginning July 1, 2005. The school consists of three departments, Interpersonal Communication, Journalism, and Telecommunications, with 34 faculty members who teach and conduct research in a broad range of theoretical and applied areas. The graduate program offers an M.A. and Ph.D. in Communication Studies. The school educates approximately 1000 undergraduate majors and 70 graduate students. The successful candidate will have qualifications for appointment at the rank of professor with tenure, administrative experience, a broad understanding of the field of communication and its future direction, a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education, and a successful record of grant writing and/or fund raising.
