Dear AoIR-ists, Some of us at the [1]Futures + Literacies + Methods Lab are starting a new short turnaround analysis of sociotechnical imaginaries regarding GenAI in higher education. We are seeking your help to crowdsource GenAI policy and/or guidelines documents from universities around the world to identify common trends or themes. Please contribute! Why? In an effort to respond to the evolving landscape of the use of Gen AI for knowledge-making processes, Universities are rapidly revising or developing new policies to adapt to GenAI use by students, educators, staff, and researchers. How do these documents situate and imagine AI in the context of higher education, knowledge production, and epistemic authority? How to contribute: Donated documents for analysis could be in the form of links to publicly accessible documents or pages, or an uploaded copy of a webpage or document in PDF We are collecting links on this google document: [2]https://bit.ly/Uni-policies-AI-crowdsourcing (includes a form if you want to upload documents; does not require any login) Note: Analytical findings be aggregated. We don’t seek to highlight particular universities and their policies, but rather, to identify trends. We do not identify this as a high-risk or ethically problematic study, but a scoping study with good potential to help share common frames, build stronger policies, and identify potential pitfalls in how AI is being framed in the context of higher education. Not sure what to donate? Anything. Any policy or guideline material from your university is useful for us. Documentation can be: --partial, in progress, or complete --New or old --university-wide or faculty/discipline-specific --Any language We will do the work of sorting everything once we see how many and what type of documents we are getting from this snowball sampling method.
