[Air-l] M-viruses?

Thanks for the mobile phone references Nalini. I have a query related to this. I just got my mobile connected in the UK (don't know about the US) and the operator sent a couple of text messages which supposedly, just by my reading them, activated my account. Does this mean the text messages did something to my phone? If so, does this mean an SMS message could carry a virus? :-o :-D
