**Apologies for cross posting** Thanks to all those who contributed to and attended at the International Communications section’s panels at last year’s British International Studies Association (BISA) conference in St. Andrews. I am pleased to announce the call for papers for this year’s BISA conference, which will take place in Cork, Ireland, from 18 to 20 December 2006. If you are interested in submitting a paper or, indeed, panel proposal related to International Communications for presentation at the annual conference, the deadline for submissions is Wednesday, 12 April. The International Communications section welcomes papers on the impact of both ‘new’ and ‘old’ media on the study and practice of international relations and foreign policy. **AoIRers, I am particularly interested in receiving paper proposals with an Internet focus as, I think, the Internet and its impacts are seriously undervalued in the discipline of International Relations** Abstracts of not more than 250 words and also bearing the authors name, affiliation, BISA membership status, and full contact details should be forwarded to me at maura.conway@dcu.ie. For further information about BISA and the annual conference, please refer to the BISA website: www.bisa.ac.uk. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Maura Conway
