Dear Video Game Enthusiasts/Academics: The Video Game Studies area of the Popular Culture Association invites papers/panels on video games and video game studies for the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association National Conference to be held April 16-19, 2003 at the New Orleans Marriott Hotel. All topics on video games and video game studies will be considered. Possible paper or panel topics may include but are not limited to the following: Current trends in Video Games/Video Game Studies Connections between Video Games and Film Digital Rhetoric and Video games Violence and Video Games Gender and Video Games Race and Video Games Class and Video Games Genre and Video Games Intersections Between Video Games and Anime Video Games and Culture Video Games as Contemporary American Literature International Video Game Studies Teaching Video Games Your 100-word (or longer) abstract/proposal must be received by November 10 (this means last minute proposals must be sent via-e-mail). Please also include the Title of Presentation, Name, Affiliation, Street Address, City, State, Zip, e-mail address. This information will be used in the program and to mail your conference materials.
