I've had similar problems and also have appealed to the conference directors for help. The instructions for panels aren't clear as to whether author names should be included in these sorts of submissions. In my experience with most other conferences, one does include author names along with the title and abstract for each presentation on the panel, so I did identify panelists in the "abstract" text box, which, as has been pointed out, seems to be a text box where it should be identified as the only place where "everything" can be pasted in. One problem is that the submission "works" regardless of whether one messes up or not; as a result, I ended up submitting our panel 3 times until it seemed that I got it right on the third try. Another problem: there is a roundtable "track" listed for selection but no panel track option; yet, later, one is asked to indicate whether the submission is one of two possibilities: single presentation or panel. Clarification would be great-although I'm afraid that any new directions will result in my having to make a fourth submission of the same panel and being unable to "undo" the first three attempts to submit the same panel. I didn't put bios in the box since you can put in the author info session, and you should not put any identifier in the abstract for peer review anyway. While it makes little sense to me, this way works. I'm still waiting submission director's response. If I learn anything new, I'll send you a email. Hi,
I am trying to submit a panel proposal and the 6 abstracts from the panelists for AoIR-9. The deadline is Feb 22 but I have not been able to see how to submit the panel proposal and the 6 abstracts along with the 6 little biographies. Can anyone give me some pointers?
Thanks.
Jay
