[Air-L] LIt request: how different organizations communicate

Hello, Can anyone suggest some must-read literature on the link between different types of organizations and how they communicate? My particular focus is nonprofits--especially advocacy organizations--but literature that addresses this link for any type of organization and their communicative practices would be helpful. I'm interested in how an organization's history, structure, funding, core mission and functions, etc., shape how they use media (especially the Internet), what messages they put out, etc. Thanks, Luis - - - - - Luis E.
