Each year Curtin university appoints a small number of research fellows to the university including both early-career and senior positions. The application round for 2012 Curtin research fellowships is now open. The process of application needs to involve the department which would house the Fellow. The Department of Internet Studies would be delighted to support applications by researchers seeking to gain a position at Curtin University to conduct projects within the broad field of internet research (including related topics such as gaming, digital media and ranging from theoretical to applied work). The Department is one of the leading centres of Internet research in Australia. With 7 staff, including a senior research fellow appointed in 2010, and more than 15 doctoral students, the department has a strong and active research culture. The Department is affiliated with the soon-to-be-established Centre for Culture and Technology at Curtin and is part of the School of Media, Culture and Creative Arts.
