*Webinar, December 3rd: **Towards People-Centred Digital Health Strategies: Gender, Rights and Participation* Join for an exciting conversation to launch the Digital Health and Rights Project’s participatory action research study into digital health, and learn about our new report <https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/cim/research/digital-health-rights/publications/dhrp_2024_-_gender_equity_rights_and_inclusion_in_digital_health_strategies.pdf> with youth activists and WHO! Digital Health and Rights Project <https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/cim/research/digital-health-rights/>is doing transnational participatory action research on digital health and human rights with hundreds of young adults in Colombia, Ghana, Kenya and Vietnam. We’ll introduce our innovative model of research and governance with a researcher from Vietnam and members of a national community advisory team in Kenya, with major findings coming out next year. We are also thrilled to launch our new report reviewing gender equality and human rights in 20 national digital health strategies <https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/cim/research/digital-health-rights/publications/dhrp_2024_-_gender_equity_rights_and_inclusion_in_digital_health_strategies.pdf> . In 2021, the World Health Assembly approved the *Global Digital Health Strategy 2020-25* to promote a coordinated and equitable digital transformation of health. Objective 4 of the strategy emphasizes the importance of addressing gender equality and health equity to ensure digital technologies work for all. Working with the World Health Organisation, we reviewed how 20 national strategies address gender, inclusion and rights and have recommendations to WHO, national governments, international organisations, and civil society. *Event Details:* - *Date:* Tuesday, 3rd December 2024 - *Time:* 14:00 – 15:00 UK time - *Register here for the link <https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/6d986cbb-3b56-48eb-ad52-f65f0f3c0c77@09bacfbd-47ef-4465-9265-3546f2eaf6bc>* *Speakers*: - *Meg Davis, Principal Investigator, Digital Health and Rights Project, University of Warwick* - *Hoang Le Tu, Researcher, Vietnam Network of People Living with HIV (VNP+)* - *Franco Serra, Researcher, University of Oxford* - *James Kiilu, Kenya-Community Advisory Team **(**K-CAT**)* - *Tahani Alabdah, **Technical Officer, Department of Digital Health and Innovation, **World Health Organization** (WHO)* Moderated by *Tabitha Ha**, Co-director of Advocacy, **STOPAIDS* *Jack Wilson*, *Postdoctoral fellow,* *University of Warwick*, chat host About the Digital Health and Rights Project: *https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/cim/research/digital-health-rights-backu... <https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/cim/research/digital-health-rights-backup/>* Sign up for our newsletter: http://eepurl.com/hTphqz Follow us on X/Twitter <https://x.com/DigHealthRights>and LinkedIn <https://www.linkedin.com/company/digital-health-and-rights-project/posts/?feedView=all> Funders: Fondation Botnar, University of Warwick ESRC Impact Acceleration Accounts -- Sara (Meg) Davis Professor, Digital Health and Rights Director, Research and Impact Principal Investigator, Digital Health and Rights Project <https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/cim/research/digital-health-rights/> *Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies** | **University of Warwick* Associated Researcher *Global Governance Centre** | **Geneva Graduate Institute* Book: The Uncounted: Politics of Data in Global Health <https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/uncounted/C0CC81C0F03D1822D05C13EE31FA0957#fndtn-metrics> Ted talk: The Uncounted: The people left out of health data <https://www.ted.com/talks/sara_meg_davis_the_uncounted_the_people_left_out_of_health_data> Pronouns: She, hers -- *Sara (Meg) Davis, Ph.D.* *Research Associate, *Global Governance Centre, Geneva Graduate Institute *Professor,* Digital Health and Rights, University of Warwick Digital Health and Rights Project <https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/cim/research/research-projects/digital-health-rights/> Book: *The Uncounted: Politics of Data in Global Health <https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/uncounted/C0CC81C0F03D1822D05C13EE31FA0957#fndtn-metrics>* Ted talk: The Uncounted: The people left out of health data <https://www.ted.com/talks/sara_meg_davis_the_uncounted_the_people_left_out_of_health_data>
