What I thought was more interesting was not the banning per se but how people mourned it and the attempt to have a petition to unban this person (although he/she could have used a different user name). The first link on my message is a self explanation of why this person was banned. I'm no expert in this area of inquiry, but perhaps a "different user name" is not a viable option becuase users have built up social or cultural capital in their existing identity, and it would prove too costly to re-establish that. -michael zimmer Joao Cunha wrote:
