Question about social media tracking
What's the easiest tool to use to gain information about the traffic on Twitter from an organization (a newspaper) to a person (a political figure) about a particular topic in a particular date range? I've looked at a number of tools that claim to be able to achieve this level of tracking but they all have limitations, or have simply 'fallen over' in the process of my searching. Grateful for any advice. Tanja PhD Candidate School of Political Science Australian National University E: Tanja.Porter@anu.edu.au<mailto:Tanja.Porter@anu.edu.au>
Hi Tanja, As an Australian based university researcher, you have access to a Twitter scrapping tool we have recently developed and launched, that operates on the national eResearch infrastructure: https://launchpod.intersect.org.au/ It should be able to help you (probably through a combination of the Twitter Scrapper and R). If you have any questions about how to use it, or how to set it up, let me know. Regards Jonathon.
