Recommendations for graphic free software
Dear AoIR members, I would like to inquire whether some of you know e have tried free graphic design software able to replace -- with similar functions and good results -- Adobe InDesign. We are in the process of migrating our class labs to only free software at our university and I would appreciate any recommendations you have. Hi Telma, Scribus is the best option to run on a desktop and it's truly open/libre software. It does not have all InDesign features but it works fine. But.... You can try figma! This one is much better than InDesign!!! Figma has a free upgrade for educators and students and you can create teams with your students as an educator. Haven't tried it yet, but plan to use it in the Spring for a course.
