Hi Telma, Scribus is the best option to run on a desktop and it's truly open/libre software. It does not have all InDesign features but it works fine. But.... You can try figma! This one is much better than InDesign!!! It's not libre but you can use it online and it's free if you don't mind having your work to be public. https://www.figma.com/ Josir Cardoso Gomes Researcher at IBICT/UFRJ Phd in Information Science / Programmer / Teacher orcid.org/0000-0001-7629-1404 Em qui., 26 de out. de 2023 às 16:28, TELMA SUELI PINTO JOHNSON via Air-L < air-l@listserv.aoir.org> escreveu:
Dear AoIR members,
I would like to inquire whether some of you know e have tried free graphic design software able to replace -- with similar functions and good results -- Adobe InDesign.
We are in the process of migrating our class labs to only free software at our university and I would appreciate any recommendations you have.
Best regards,
