Can anyone recommend a good app for recording Skype calls on Windows?

I'm sorry. I don't quite understand the question. Zoom is no more or less private than Skype. But it's primary use is web conferencing rather than as a phone substitute. One feature I really like is that it has a two monitor mode, and the ability to 'pin' one participant to either screen. On Thu, Apr 13, 2017 at 11:26 AM, Raquel Rennó <raquelrenno@gmail.com> wrote:

I second Joly's recommendation, I use Zoom at UCLA for classes, appointments etc. and it's very sturdy, built in recording too. Leah On 4/13/17 8:22 AM, Joly MacFie wrote:

I used MP3 Skype Recorder, but wouldn't recommend it. It initially worked really nicely with a Skype call but then stopped recording longer calls, without warning. Almost lost a good podcast interview. But, given how tech works, I had also been recording using Audacity, which worked, yay for backups! Since then I've used iFree Skype Recorder <http://ifree-recorder.com/> and it's been stable. This is just for audio, of course. Snaggit or Camtesia are not very expensive, don't have a limit on video record time, and allow you to edit your video recordings in the app. -Ben Morton

I used Evaer to record sound and video and it worked very well for me: http://www.evaer.com/ Also, I had an iPad next to my computer to record the call as well (just the audio), just as a back up in case something went wrong with Evaer. If you only need the sound, there are free apps for recording on Apple devices which work well and the sound is good if you place the Apple device near the computer.
