For some time now, I have been researching the recollection of memory and identity in museums. As an outgrowth of these and other IT-related interested, I am also very fascinated by how those museums are representing themselves on-line. Does anyone know of other research in this area? Thanks for any info you might have, Leda Cooks
Leda you could do worse than look at the work of CHArt (Computers and the History of Art) group <http://www.chart.ac.uk/>. They are both art hiostorians and curators, and embrace the heritage museums as well as art. The annual conference is an interesting event, Also of interest Archives and Museums Informatics <http://www.archimuse.com/>. Both have annual conferences: AMI in April in Boston MA, not sure about CHArt. regards Sean -- Sean Cubitt Screen and Media Studies, Akoranga Whakaata Pürongo University of Waikato, Private Bag 3105, Hamilton, New Zealand T: Dept: +64 (0)7 838 4543 T: Direct: +64 (0)7 856 2289 ext 8604 F: +64 (0)7 838 4767 http://www.waikato.ac.nz/film http://www.ucl.ac.uk/slade/digita http://www.dundee.ac.uk/people/sean/welcome.html
