Seeking Scholarly Books about new media and interpersonal relationships
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of the textbooks or good scholarly books for teaching an undergraduate course which mainly focuses on new media/social media and interpersonal relationships? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance! Best Regards, Erting Sa Ph.D. Candidate and Instructor Department of Communication University at Albany, SUNY Email: esa@albany.edu<mailto:yzhao4@albany.edu>
Good starting point is Nancy Baym’s "Personal Connections in the Digital Age”. For a focus on teens, there’s danah boyd’s “It’s Complicated.” And also Ziti Papacharissi’s “A Networked Self” series. All good for undergrads. -- Michael Zimmer, PhD Associate Professor, School of Information Studies Director, Center for Information Policy Research University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee e: zimmerm@uwm.edu t: @michaelzimmer w: www.michaelzimmer.org

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of the textbooks or good scholarly books for teaching an undergraduate course which mainly focuses on new media/social media and interpersonal relationships? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you in advance!
