Good starting point is Nancy Baym’s "Personal Connections in the Digital Age”. For a focus on teens, there’s danah boyd’s “It’s Complicated.” And also Ziti Papacharissi’s “A Networked Self” series. All good for undergrads. -- Michael Zimmer, PhD Associate Professor, School of Information Studies Director, Center for Information Policy Research University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee e: zimmerm@uwm.edu t: @michaelzimmer w: www.michaelzimmer.org

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of the textbooks or good scholarly books for teaching an undergraduate course which mainly focuses on new media/social media and interpersonal relationships? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you in advance!
