Kyllä, lasit ovat kauniit, niissä on menneen maailman eleganssia, olisipa niitä vaan enemmän. Seuraan tarjontaa satunnaisesti, tuureittain, ehkä saan joskus näille laseille seuraa. Hyvää jatkoa, Ilta-Kanerva K.

Along these same lines, does anyone know where data on global penetration of 2G and 3G cell/data networks can be obtained?

Also access is not use and this week I am considering the question of what impact the internet has..what do people use the net for? what is Internet literacy? at work at statistics Canada we also consider intensity of use in terms of frequency. Also years of access.
Many ways to dice these simple numbers.

Stephanie,
"Access to the Internet" is quite a blurry concept: users? coverage? subscribers? People that deal with e-readiness issues usually refer to "Internet users" but, depending on your interests, you might be willing to know other data.
The best sources are the International Telecommunication Unit, the World Bank and the World Economic Forum, respectively:

Here I have a list of other resources that collect (and sometimes publish) data about Information and Communication Technologies:

Hope that helped. If not, please do write to me off-list :)
