Dear Colleagues, I’m writing to draw your attention to what I think is a fairly unique tenure-track position with the Honors College at Texas Tech University, where I serve as Associate Dean. The expertise area is Design-Focused Human-Computer Interaction. We’re essentially looking for someone to occupy the productive interdisciplinary space between art/design and technology. https://sjobs.brassring.com/TGnewUI/Search/home/HomeWithPreLoad?partnerid=25... The Honors College at TTU is nationally ranked and serves approximately 2400 students majoring in virtually every discipline at the university. You’d have the opportunity to teach interdisciplinary, discussion-based seminars in your area of expertise, contribute to our first-year experience program, and mentor high-performing undergraduate researchers and creatives while pursuing your own scholarship. We function very much as a selective liberal arts community embedded within a big R1 university. You’d be teaching a 2/2 load with lots of opportunity to contribute to curriculum, study abroad, research away, and other student-facing initiatives. Please feel free to reach out to me with questions or query the search committee chair, Dr. Allie Smith (allie.c.smith@ttu.edu<mailto:allie.c.smith@ttu.edu>). Application review-by date is December 1, 2026. Best, Rob ——————————————————————— Robert Moses Peaslee, PhD [he, him, his] Associate Dean, Honors College Associate Professor, Department of Journalism & Creative Media Industries Texas Tech University Remember this: Try.
