The program in Philosophy, Science and Technology (PST) in the School of Public Policy seeks applications for one or more full-time, tenure track positions in philosophy beginning in August 2009 at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are especially interested in philosophy of technology or in ethics of science and technology. We are also open to a variety of specializations such as sustainability or emerging technologies like nanotechnology, digital communication, and bio-medical development. For one of these positions, the competence and willingness to teach modern philosophy is strongly desired. We are also interested in strengthening Georgia Techs Center for Ethics and Technology. Both positions will involve working within a highly interdisciplinary and globally oriented research community with abundant opportunities for collaboration within the Institute and across major research universities in Atlanta, Georgia.
