Hi Miguel. My PhD is on this topic but it's very early on and I can't add much to the discussion yet. On a personal note, this is what my Celtic folk band has been doing for some time (http://www.myspace.com/bunbere), though not very effectively via MySpace. (We've used other devices to much greater effect so far.) I'd love to see any literature people may have on this subject, though ... Cheers, Hughie http://www.huge.id.au ----- Original Message ----- From: "Miguel Afonso Caetano" <miguel.a.caetano@gmail.com> To: <air-l@listserv.aoir.org> Sent: Wednesday, November 01, 2006 8:42 AM Subject: Re: [Air-l] refs on myspace and facebook
Regarding this topic, I wonder if there is anyone doing research about the way musicians and bands use MySpace to promote their works. I am especially refering to those artists who cater for niche audiences and release records through netlabels.
Thanks,

Hi All,
Can anyone recommend some top of the line research on MySpace and Facebook? I'm looking for thoughtful academic work rather than journalists' accounts.
Thanks very much.
