Dear all, I am sorry to tell you very sad news about an italian Professor who was one of the best and original italian researchers on Internet subjects: Antonio Roversi. He died last June 15th. Prof. Roversi worked for a long time in Bologna University (http://www2.scedu.unibo.it/roversi/) and was also one of the first italians to join aoir. Best regards antonella mascio
Quanto mi spiace, io ho lavorato con lui per la mia tesi dottorale sulla chat in Internet julio boffano On Thu, 28 Jun 2007 09:38:45 +0200, Antonella Mascio wrote

Antonella, this is a very sad news for the world of internet research. I knew Prof. Roversi and his work for years. Most of his works and books are in Italian, but some contributions of his , in English, can still be found in our website www.aoir.org /forum. This is a huge loss. Antonio and I have talked about organizing the Aoir conference in Italy, a project that I will consolidate in the future . Ciao Antonio, we'll miss you. Prof. Roversi will be missed. He was a great colleague and friend to many people in AoIR. A few years ago, he was working on bringing and AoIR conference to Northern Italy and through that I had many great conversations and a wonderful meal with him. I had conversations with him about this, too, and I hope that, should it come to pass that there is someday an AoIR meeting in Italy, there can be a remembrance of him as part of the program. Though in English the phrase "a scholar and a gentleman" has become a well-worn cliche, Prof. Roversi was truly a scholar and a gentleman. I extend my condolences particularly to his family and his Italian colleagues, and to those of us on this list and in AoIR. Sj On Jun 28, 2007, at 5:41 AM, Jeremy Hunsinger wrote:
