The course is organized broadly around the notion of the commons (http://www.onthecommons.org/) and features the roles of actors in three intersecting categories: private industry, government, and the third sector. Modules include the information/knowledge commons, the spectrum commons, the telecom commons, the software/hardware commons, and the internet commons. The 22nd edition of the conference will be held in Limassol, Cyprus. Limassol (or Lemesos) is a multicultural bustling town, flanked by two ancient cities, Amathus and Kourion, and guarded by the Amathusian Aphrodite and Appolo Hylates. It is a town of great visual diversity and contrast from spectacular seafront views, historic places like the mediaeval Castle, and Byzantine churches. Along the 17 km long sandy beaches, two Marinas, world renowned 5 star hotels, and a most exciting dining, shopping, nightlife and yachting scene create a year-round vibrant lifestyle well beyond the expectations of a Mediterranean island. ACM IUI is where the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) community meets the Artificial Intelligence (AI), with contributions from related fields such as psychology, behavioral science, cognitive science, computer graphics, design or the arts. Our focus is to improve the interaction between humans and machines, by leveraging both more traditional HCI approaches, as well as solutions that involve state-of-the art AI techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing, data mining, knowledge representation and reasoning. ACM IUI welcomes contribution from any relevant arena: academia, business, or non-profit organizations. Why you should submit to ACM IUI: At ACM IUI, we focus on the interaction between machine intelligence and human intelligence. While other conferences focus on one side or the other, we address the complex interaction between the two. We welcome research that explores how to make the interaction between computers and people smarter, which may leverage solutions from data mining, knowledge representation, novel interaction paradigms, and emerging technologies. We strongly encourage submissions that discuss research from both HCI and AI simultaneously, but also welcome works that focus more on one side or the other. Short papers are not expected to include a discussion of related work that is as broad and complete as that of full papers. · Anonymization: ACM IUI uses a double-blind review process. Call for participants and senior scholar mentors: Early Career Workshop at AoIR 2016

We invite early career scholars attending AoIR 2016 to participate in a workshop geared just for them. This half-day preconference (morning) will include: 1. an open session: attendees will discuss issues pertinent to junior scholars 2. a panel session: senior scholars will answer questions and offer advice 3. a small-group session: attendees will break into small groups based on institution type and/or geographic region and work with a senior scholar mentor to address specific needs This workshop is meant for people who have obtained their terminal degree and are in the initial stages of their career as faculty member, researcher, post-doc, etc. We already have a great group of senior scholars serving as mentors for this event from different academic systems, but we have room for a few more volunteers (particularly from Australia, Canada, or Europe). All early-career participants must register for the event as part of the general registration for the conference. There is no additional cost for the workshop. Cyber Hygiene and the Internet of Things: Invitation to participate in a consensus exercise

Dear colleagues, If you have expertise in security and Internet of Things, you may be interested in taking part in our latest research project. At the UCL Centre for Behaviour Change, we are currently recruiting experts to contribute to the ‘Cyber Hygiene Project’. The project is part of the multi-disciplinary PETRAS research hub exploring critical issues in privacy, ethics, trust, reliability, acceptability, and security in Internet of Things environments. More information about the project and the hub can be found here (http://www.petrashub.org/) The Internet of Things will bring many benefits for consumers, businesses and government but alongside these benefits will be a heightened risk to threats. Cyber Hygiene refers to the security, privacy and safety behaviours end-users need to engage in to protect themselves in IoT environments. Our goal is to identify intervention strategies and develop guidelines for developers, companies, and end-users on improving Cyber Hygiene. To achieve this goal, we are looking to work with experts to establish consensus on potential IoT threats and mitigating behaviours that end-users should engage in to maintain their Cyber Hygiene. This would provide us with an understanding of the key user behaviours before we identify intervention strategies. Expert consensus studies are particularly useful when there is limited research and clarity around a topic. IoT research is well in its infancy and there is currently a lack of guidance on Cyber Hygiene behaviours. Establishing consensus in this area will be an important first step before establishing behaviour change strategies. Working with us would involve three online questionnaires sent to you between July to October 2016 (approx. 15-20 minutes each time) to obtain your opinions on these issues. In receipt of your time, we will be running a *free bespoke behaviour change and networking event* covering theory and practice related to a topic of interest from recruited IoT and information security experts (ran by our specialists at the UCL centre for behaviour change. Submissions considering all types of cybercrime are welcome, and, where relevant, content examining related areas with a focus on cybercrime may also be considered (for example, aspects of security and privacy online).
