DEAR ALL Sharp has released the first monitor that can change from 2D to 3D imaging with the flick of a switch. Its first customers are expected to be professionals who use 3D technology for enhanced productivity, and who are willing to spend the $1500 on the display. Medical imaging, CAD (Computer Aided Design), mapping and oil exploration are areas that use 3D. But Sharp is hoping that the 15-inch 3D monitor will soon be marketed to video game and movie fans, as there are a number of people who wear 3D glasses to play some computer games. To achieve the 3D image, the monitor uses two LCD panels: the front panel displays the image while the back one angles the light coming from behind it, sending alternate columns to the observer’s left and right eyes. DEAR ALL My name is Jun-Hye KIM. I am taking an Internet class. As a class project, I am studying DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service. DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) is a digital transmission system for sending data, radio and TV to mobile devices such as mobile phones Currently, DMB is being put into use in a number of countries. South Korea started S-DMB and T-DMB service in May 1 and December 1, 2005 respectively. As of April 2006, T-DMB service in South Korea consist of: 7 TV channels 13 radio channels 8 data channels These are broadcasted on 6 multiplexes in the VHF band on TV channel 8 and 12 (6MHz raster). As of April 2006, S-DMB service in South Korea consist of: 7 TV channels 20 radio channels S-DMB service in South Korea is provided on a subscription basis and is accessible throughout the country. T-DMB service is provided free of charge, but access is limited in selected regions. Around 500,000 receivers have been sold (April 2006). Receivers are integrated in car navigation systems, mobile phones, personal video players, laptops and personal cameras. I wonder how the DMB service is being operated in other nations? While surfing the web, you might wonder if you could go back or forward to a page that you had visited only by using mouse. A 5-button type mouse for internet user produced by MS or Logitech has buttons functioning as back or forward and enables you to surf the web only with the mouse. But the mouse most of the computer users use is two button type wheel mouse. Web surfing with the mouse gesture!! I recommend this program to you.
